The Basque Country adds a holiday of its own in 2027: 7 October, the anniversary of the first Basque Government, formed in 1936. In 2027 it has 12 public holidays: the 9 shared by all of Spain and 3 of its own, Maundy Thursday (Thursday 25 March), Easter Monday (Monday 29 March) and Anniversary of the first Basque Government (Thursday 7 October). The Basque Country also gives Maundy Thursday and Easter Monday, and its local holidays are published in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country for the towns of Álava, Biscay and Gipuzkoa. Bilbao celebrates Saint Ignatius on 31 July and its Aste Nagusia in August; Donostia-San Sebastián, Saint Sebastian on 20 January; Vitoria-Gasteiz, the White Virgin on 5 August. In 2026 the Basque Country had Saint James, 25 July, which falls on a Sunday in 2027; 7 October, a Thursday, comes in instead.

The Basque Country has 252 municipalities in three historical territories, and each publishes its local holidays in its own gazette: the BOB in Biscay, the BOG in Gipuzkoa and the BOTHA in Álava. Saint Ignatius, 31 July, is a holiday in many towns of Biscay and Gipuzkoa. The 2027 ones are already published for all three territories, so the tool's dates are final for the towns on the list.
